I think all our decorations are out
Just in time too! Julia looked at my train tree today and asked if I was even going to bother since Christmas was 5 days away.
That sparked me. I put the train ornaments on the tree and set up my German pyramid. I even took the empty boxes downstairs!!
Let Christmas and the holidays begin.
We have a pleasant surprise tonight. My niece's daughter is staying overnight on her way to Wisconsin. Charlotte started out from work in Peoria and we made plans for her to spend the night with us and finish her 3 hour drive tomorrow.
Ok...I should know this. My niece's daughter is my....what? Niece in law? Grand niece? Second niece? Or simply Charlotte? A wondering mind wants to know but did not Google the information.
I could ask the same question of both nephews and their children.
We had a little snow last night. So I decided to use the snowblower to clean off the driveway.
We have a guy who comes when there is 2 inches on the ground, but we did not have that much. There was some blowing, and the driveway had half of it bare and half of it 2 inches.
The first time starting the snowblower is a real pain. Yes, it has electronic ignition. Just plug it in , prime it , push. the start and off you go.
Except the first use. I had to go into town to buy gas. After priming it needs to sit for a while, I guess for the gas to work its way through whatever it works its way. through.
I added oil. I did not see any on the mini dipstick.
But the little sucker would not start. I let it sit for a while, tried again, still no luck.
So I let it sit for about 20 minutes. When I went out, it started! A miracle!!
Once it started it was easy as pie. My only problem is figuring out which way the wind is blowing. I hate blowing into the wind because of al the snow that blows on me.
All in all it was a pretty productive day. But, and here's the big butt, we were supposed to wrap presents today. My monkeying with the snowblower kind of killed that activity. But there is always tomorrow.
Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow.
Peace and Love
