We have some bad weather in the area tonight
I just called Julia and told her she may want to check out her tornado room tonight. There is a severe thunderstorm heading toward Oregon with 60 mph winds, hail and the possibility of a tornado.
I hate nights like this.
I have made 5 trips from the den to the bedroom to listen to weather radio updates. I think it is 25 steps, but I am not sure. I bet I will count next alarm.
On positive notes, I crossed off a couple of things from my humungous to do list today.
I completed my secret project!
I took Jackie to see it and she liked it.
Emily bought me some strawberry plants. I did not have a place to plant them.
So I bought a stainless steel water tank to use as a planter.
I put it on top of a furniture roller so I dan roll it in the garage in the winter to prevent the plants from freezing.
I drilled holes in the bottom for drainage, put in some rock, dirt, fertilizer, cow manure and compost and then some more dirt. Tomorrow I may put mulch over the dirt part to hold in moisture.
I may have spent $475,000 putting it together, but it will be worth it when I get fresh strawberries.
We had a storm today.
Lots of wind and a fierce, heavy rain. But it did not last long.
My rain gauge only had 2 tenths of an inch. Which makes me wonder how they measure rain when it is blowing sideways.
Enough of my drivel.
I hope everyone is safe out there......summer storms always give me a bad case of nerves.
Peace and Love
