 Just a weird assortment of thoughts

    Commercials really bother me.

    The one that gets me the most right now is a car commercial.

    Lady is driving down the road, puts the signal on to pass a car in front of her but she has aside warning lights that tells her a motorcycle is there. So she doesn't pass.

    Makes sense.

    About 5 or 6 motorcycles pass her and. then move in front of her. 

    Jackie saw nothing wrong with it until I asked:  Where is the car she wanted to pass?

    The worst genre of commercials is the betting ones.  My gosh, Pete Rose was banned from baseball because of betting and now baseball is cashing in!

    The one site offers no limit betting.  NO LIMIT!!  I wonder how many people will lose their house when a bet goes bad....which it will.

    And the commercial where the guy is running a race with a mini fridge on his back?  Bleech!

    Jackie had her hair done today, so I went to Acres for coffee and cookies.  Her hair looks nice!  I even brought home 2 cookies, but I ate the rest along with the serving of whipped cream that came with them.

    Afterwards we stopped at Hicks BBQ where I got a brisket sandwich  and half slab of ribs for supper.  His ribs are far superior to the ribs I made.  Jackie enjoyed the brisket and I loved the ribs.

    I got a new tree today.  It's a London Plane tree.  They are very common in Europe and are closely related to sycamores.  They grow well in our climate.  

    Unfortunately, I did not look at the tree from all directions when I picked it out and it has a little bend to it.  Hopefully that will not be a problem in 20 years.

    And if it is, it won't be mine.

    Beth enjoyed a Frosty Paws tonight.  That was making up for not playing with her today.

    Cubs won.  On to Detroit.
