if only

I need to check things before going  to the store 

    I keep a list by the sink.  When I see we need something, I write it on the list.

    Carrots gone?  On the list.  No bananas? On the list.

    And yes, sometimes I buy things not on the list.  Call it impulse buying, if you will.

    And sometimes I forget the list at home.  And no, I don't put it on my phone.

    Today I took stuff in to a shred day event, went to Walmart,, and then to Headon's for some meat.

    I got home and had lunch before going out to mow.

    Before jumping on the mower, I opted to fill the gas tank.  Picked up one container....empty.  Picked up the second container....empty.

    Well, that's a pickle!

    I started mowing and got the field, east side, back yard done and then ran out of gas.

    Now it is not just the 10 minute drive, or the fact I used half a gallon of precious fuel, but that I had already been in town once and could have, should have, checked my gas supply before I went.

    I finished the mowing in a light rain.  As soon as I put the mower into the garage, it started raining harder so I guess I am lucky.

    Tomorrow I hope to go plant shopping.

    I have 3 butterfly bushes behind the house....but only one seems to be growing.  That is a huge disappointment to me. I love butterfly bushes....but wonder why they are not alive?  I don't cover them in winter, but maybe I should.  I guess it can't hurt.

    Anyway, missed the CNN presentation of the play tonight because I thought it started at 7 our time, but it started at 6,  Hopefully they re run it at some point.  I did want to see it.

    That's all I can say about that!
