fini part 1

 I finished one of the jobs on my list!!

    The bushes have been. trimmed and the area around them mulched.  Now all I have to do is finish the trees and I will be done with mulch!

    I have 3 threes left to do.  I weeded, edged and mulched 8 trees today, and there are only 3 left to do.  In addition, I cleaned up the mulch pile so there is none in the driveway.....it is all in my yard cart in the garage.

    Hopefully tomorrow I can finish the trees and do my secret project!  I am a week behind on that.  It will either be brilliant or one giant cluster bomb.  It my mind it is brilliant, but my mind is sometimes a little off.

    I will be honest.  I hurt.  I have to work a little slower these days, so I think I hurt longer.  

    I was out talking with neighbor Jim when a man stopped and introduced himself.  He lives down the road and just wanted to say hello.  I told him not to be surprised if the next time we meet  I have no idea what his name is because names are a problem for me.  Just wanted him to be prepared.

    I keep waiting for the forecast to call for rain.  It is very dry and some plants and trees are starting to look a little wilted.  I hate to water, but if we don't get a soaker soon I will have to do that.

    Speaking of soakers, I have the worst damn luck with hoses.  No matter how careful I am, they always leak.  It's frustrating. 

    And one I can't seem to unscrew off the hose reel nozzle to fix the leak.  

    But enough of my carping.

    It was a beautiful day, got a lot done, Cubs won, an I cooked 2 steaks and did not burn them.

    All is good.
