We are in for a hot couple of days
Temperatures are predicted in the mid to upper 90s, with heat indexes above 105. And I don't think indexes is the right word. Indices? Whatever. It is going to be hot.
At some point I will check the temperature of a little town in Michigan and if we are warmer than they are, I will say, "It's hotter than Hell!" And I will be correct.
Funny, I think us humans also say it's colder than hell, but that isn't possible. Unless it is Hell, MI.
Knowing being outside will not be top on my list of things to do, I mowed and trimmed today. I started at 4, after watching the Cubs lose. I mowed the field, the yard, went for dinner, trimmed and watered my porch plants.
I finished about 9. I could have finished a lot earlier if I didn't have to go to town for gas.
As I was mowing, I got hungry fro a calzone. I thought maybe I could talk Jackie into getting mostaccioli from Alfano's while I got a calzone. I went into the house and she said, "I would like mostaccioli for supper."
It was like I had ESP and was communicating with her.
Anyway, I decided for a small stuffed pizza instead. It was yummy, and I have enough for another 2 meals!
I forgot to mark the summer solstice today.
It has been my tradition to go outside at the exact time and turn 4 times to the left and 2 times to the right. Then I hope up and down 6 times.
But alas, I missed this time. Next solstice I will be more prepared.
Stay cool.....check on us old folks. Don't walk your dogs or leave them in a car. Same with kids and grandkids. Be safe.
Peace and Love
