I understand fifth graders and fractions
Fractions were hard to get.
Lowest terms, equalized fractions, adding unlike denominators..... all met with blank stares.
Of course so did long division. And 2 digit by 2 digit multiplication. I wonder if that is still taught, or do we just rely on calculators for everything.
I digress.
I got my fifth or sixth lesson on how to put a cd onto the computer, then onto my phone. It's still a blur.
Luckily it was Fathers' Day, so both girls were over to help the old man.
First we assembled the patio table. Next we rolled up the rug, pulled up the old padding, vacuumed the floor, mopped the floor and eventually put the new pad down and unrolled the rug, making sure it covered the pad.
Both are tasks I can not do by myself. Julia and Emily were a big help.
They also brought gifts.... some neat garden decorations I will take pictures of at some point.
I grilled pork chops and Julia made a pasta salad and we had corn.
Afterwards we all sat out on the porch enjoying the coolish evening air.
It was a great day. Even the Cubs added some sunshine with a win.
I just love spending time with all my girls.....Jackie, Julia, Emily and Beth.
I am a lucky SOB!
Peace and Love
