Oscars

 I am once again out of it

    I am not watching the Oscars because I have not seen any of the movies.  Not a single one.

    In fact, I don't know the last time I went to a movie or watched one on tv.

    So to watch the Oscars is pretty much a waste of time for me.  I don't know who to root for and I am not sure if I would be  disappointed in the winner.

    But I would like to see Wicked and A Complete Unknown.

    Speaking of unknowns, at the Christmas market last November a company was giving out Cirkul bottles and some flavored inserts.  

    Ours have sat on the counter since then. Unused, except to use the container to water plants.

    Well, one day I put the insert into the bottle and took a sip.

    The water in the bottle was crystal clear, but when I drank, I tasted a fruit punch.  A really strong fruit punch.  I did not like it.

    We had 3 samples between Emily, Julia and me.  I still had 2 samples, so a week ago I tried it again.

    I noticed there were spaces on a dial on the insert, so I started trying them.

    Different spaces gave me different strengths.

    Dragging this boring story out even longer, I eventually e mailed the company and asked them how to use it.

    I got a nice e mail back explaining the numbers and the setting  that just lets water pass through the dial without flavoring.

    Guess what?

    I love it.

    It's a 20 ounce bottle and I drink 6 fillings on one insert.  

    Walmart has the inserts for $3,47, which works out to about 50 cents for a 20 ounce bottle of water.

    But I am not using plastic bottlers once and tossing them.  Plus, I am drinking a lot more water during the day. So I am counting this as a double win.

    How about that?  I was afraid to try something new and now I like it.
