 Seems like we are getting closer to lots of things

    A lot of unpacking got done at Julia's today.

    In addition to the unpacking, her dining room table was assembled, a hutch moved into place, and things put where she wants them.  It's looking like a house ready to move into.

    Next will be working on the garage so she can put her car in it.  We have found a home for the boxes, but we have to break them down.  I think I can work on that a couple of nights this coming week.

    The Cubs open play in the US in a few days.  I still think the LA series in Tokyo seemed like an exhibition. But they are 0-2 in the Central Division and in last place.  Not a good omen.

    Warmer weather seems to be heading towards us.  I think we have a couple of snows in between warm ups, but the weather changes so much it is hard to predict.

    I have sprouts in my gardens.   The lilies seem to be coming back to life.  It can't be long before  daffodils start popping up.

    Like I said, a lot of. things are getting close.

    Today my niece's daughter and fiancee stopped and are spending the night.  They even got to help unpack a few boxes.

    We had Portillo's beef for supper, and Lewis, Charlotte, Sheri, Julia, Emily, Jackie and I had a nice time sitting around and talking and laughing.  Lots of laughing, which is good for the soul.

    It's always great to see relatives and friends.
