We got our toenails done today 

    I can see you making. that "ick" face.  Toenails are a disgusting topic and trimming them is even more disgusting.

    Why is that?  What is it about toenails that make me go eeewwwwww?

    Anyway, we went to the salon for the trim.

    Jackie did not get a pedicure, just a trim.  She was able to stay in her wheelchair while they used the lopers to trim her toes.

    However, I had the full pedicure.  I sat in the massage chair, had my feet pampered, and felt like royalty when I was done.

    Unfortunately, that pretty well shot my day.  I did not get the rest of the lights up, the garland hung, or the carrots dug.  Tomorrow may be a nice day too, so I hope to be a little more productive.

    Yesterday I mentioned going to the Morton Arboretum and seeing the lights.  Well. today my thighs reminded me that I need to walk more.  I guess I am out of walking shape because I really felt it today.

    Jackie has a bill to pay.  I went on the website to pay it and the directions say "Enter the claim number."

    I assumed that meant the account, so I typed t hat in.  Nope.  Maybe the coding for the doctor visit?  Nope.

    Nowhere on the bill is there a claim number.  After looking for 20 minutes and getting frustrated I sent them a check.

    Every other medical group we use has a patient portal.  So does this one.  Every other medical group allows you to pay the bill through the patient portal.  On this one you can only see the statement!  There is no pay bill option.  To p[ay the bill you have to go to another site and enter the nonexistent claim number.

    Maybe it's me, but it is a screwy system.

    I just hope the mail gets there.
