odds and ends

 Now is not the t time to be serious

    There is too much dark news, all around us.

    But I am going to disregard the gloom and doom and be totally illogical and all over the place tonight.

    Part of that reason is I stopped at Cypress House for a coffee today.  Jackie was getting her hair done, and I had about 1 hour to relax with a cup.  I brought a book, ordered coffee, (candy cane mocha) and sat in the greenhouse area in back. 

    Comfortable chairs, quiet, and warm!!

    Of course, Amy made her usual excellent coffee for me to savor while I read.  It was vey relaxing.

    Jackie and I  also went to Sycamore for a nail job.  I get a pedicure but she only gets a trim because they can do a trim without her leaving the wheelchair.  Otherwise it takes 3 or 4 people to get her up to chair level and then I have to move her from the wheelchair to the chair.  The last 2 times that has been a challenge and I can't do it anymore.

    So, she gets a trim and I get a pedi!.  I sit in the massage chair while the technician does my nails and massages my legs below the knees.  I was so relaxed when it was over......

    I am really tired. today.  I did not sleep well, again.

    I was up looking out the window at about 2 a.m.  when I saw a deer in the yard.  It seemed to be lying down by the pine trees.  I got down my binoculars and in the moonlight it looked like its head was moving back and forth.  Weird behavior by a deer.

    This morning I discovered I spent about 10 minutes watching a whirly gig in my garden!  It spins when the wind blows. and in the darkness I thought it was a deer.

    I also stopped the clock at 2.  I must have looked at it.

    Finally, I got a text from the USPS that a package could not be delivered to me because the address was incorrect.  I looked at the texting number and it had a country code of 63.

    Needless to say, I did not click on the link.  I don't think the USPS operates from the Philippines.  (Unless it was Philomena from the Philippines.  She is the ex wife of my friend Earl, who hangs around at a bar called the Rusty Keg.)

    Scammers are everywhere!  I still maintain they should be caught and boiled in oil!!
