nooooooo......

 Well, we started packing up Christmas today

    I know...Christmas isn't just decorations, it is a feeling, belief, a joy you share all year long.

    But in our house  it's also a hell of a lot of boxes!

    We are doing it in stages.  Today we focused on the items sitting about.  I also took down the garland and bows from the porch and the lights from the bushes.

    We had one strand of pre lit garland that does not light.  ( I just want to know who and how they put lights on that stuff that makes it almost impossible to take off!  Every light seems twisted around a sprig or two.....maddening.)

    It is the inside items that cause discussion.

    I say leave the snowmen out, because they are winter decorations.

    Someone else says put the snowmen away because if I don't do it now, they'll be up until July.

    Cruelly, I played my trump card.  I am leaving most of the snowmen out and there isn't much she can do about it.

    So there.

    Our morning help was here.  I went int the den and curled up in my chair and slept another 2 hours!  Needless to say I did not need a nap today.  In fact, I was full of energy.  Not only did I take down lights outside, I picked up doggie do, filled the bird feeders and, well, that was it.

    I am a little concerned.  We did not have any snow or rain yesterday while Chicago did and south of us got slammed.  Another storm system is moving in toward the end of the week and that looks like it is going south also.

    That's not good.  We need the moisture.

    Now excuse me, I gotta go pack some stuff.
