I have had 2 interesting nights sound wise
Two nights ago I was in bed, sound asleep, when I heard an owl.
Now, sometimes Jackie wheezes a night, and I thought it was her.
But I heard it again.
That surprised me because I don't hear well! But I could hear this who who who whoooo very clearly and very loudly.
I stayed in bed, but I kept hearing it.
I love the sound of owls hooting. That and a train whistle in the far off distance put me in a totally different frame of mind.
I went to the back door and opened it. The porch light went on, triggered by the movement of the door, and the hooting stopped.
I think the owl had to be on top of our house, above our bedroom. How else could I have heard it so loudly? And when I opened the door, and the light went on, it flew off.
I hope it comes back.
Then last night I headed to bed and an alarm was going off. I said to the home pod, "Siri, turn off alarm."
Siri told me there was no alarm set.
I told it to turn off noise. Nothing. Stop noise. Nothing. Turn off. Nothing. The seven or eight note alarm kept going.
I told Siri to play music, but I could hear the alarm under the music.
Now, I only hear in one ear. And when I held the pod to my left ear, I could hear the alarm. Jackie could hear it and we were both trying various commands to shut it off but nothing worked.
By chance I picked up Jackie's I Pad and behold....the alarm was coming from that!
We have no idea how to set an alarm on it, or why we would. But we turned it off and it was quiet again.
But I sure miss the owl.
We had friends over for raclette tonight and it was a great time visiting, talking and laughing.
Thanks Renee and Wendy for visiting and for the brownies and ice cream. We had a fun time!
Peace and Love
