Today was a great day
Jackies sister Judy, brother Bob and his wife Anita came out for a visit. Bob and Anita live in Florida, and come up north usually once a year to visit family and friends.
They came to our house, tor a couple of hours, hen we all headed off to Julia's for a barbecue.
Ny niece's daughter Charlott,e and her fiancee Lewis had spent the night here.
Julia had planned a "surprise" day for her friends from Switzerland, Mike, Matt and Nom. They invited Charlotte and Lewis to go with and also Camryn.
Julia and Emily took them to Nachusa Grasslands for Autumn on the Prairie. They got there about 10 a.m. They took a tour into the bison range, getting an up close and personal look at the huge, beautiful animals.
Eventually we all ended up at Julia's. Sheri joined the group , binging some delicious cookies to go with the delicious cookies and cheesecake Emily brought.
All in all, it was a fun time. Got to visit with people we just don't see too often.
Even Little Beth got to make some new friends, as she went with us. She loved the attention she got by going from one person to another for pets.
It seemed strange sitting on Julia's porch. It reminded me of times in Corseaux. The only things missing were the Alps and Lake Geneva.
And Matt actually brought e those!
The only downers were the Cubs lost again and the day ended.
