whaaat?

I am glad there are 7 days in a week

My program for today was:  Headon's for meat, Walmart for scripts, edge the driveway, trim around the house, weed the garden.

I did the first 2, but I had a long night and was pretty tired.

Little Beth evidently  had a problem.  We went out at 11:30, again at 1:30, and sometime after that she barked  to go out and I said no.

She turned around and promptly beat me to the bed and snuggled in next to Jackie.  That left me with about 6 inches of bed.  You have seen me, I need a lot more space.

Anyway, it was a night of restless sleep.  Jackie talking to the dog, me in fear of falling off the bed, Jackie saying Beth's stomach was making a lot of noise, me in fear of falling off the bed and lan ding in a pile of dog vomit.

I made lunch and really planned to go out at 4 and do the chores.

But while making lunch, I discovered a whole bunch of leftovers that Julia would put in the "don't eat under any circumstances" category.

So I didn't.  But I had a lot of containers to wash.  And the dishwasher was full.

I finished it all at about 3:45 and decided to sit in my chair outside for about 30 minutes.  I woke up a little before 5, then fell asleep again until about 5:30.

Kevin, Jen and Sam stopped by with some freshly baked zucchini bread and other treats for us and before I knew it, it was dark.  (I did make mojitos for Kevin and me, but I think I was a little light on the rum.)

So.....tomorrow I plan to edge the driveway, trim, and weed the garden.

I mean, I can't blow 2 days in a row, unless I watch the Cubs tomorrow.  Which I will probably do because Kyle Hendricks is pitching for LA.  My hope is the Cubs win, but Kyle does well.

    There is always Monday.

That is the big benefit of being retired.

Peace and Love
