I know, there is an extra f
And you just went back to check, right?
The extra f could stand for fun, or finally, or whatever f word you want to use.
I am not always happy for Friday. Because that means Saturday is right ahead and I have to change sheets, make the bed, do 2 loads of laundry and pretend it is a lot of fun.
When I was working Friday was much more exciting because it was the end of the work week. But when you retire, you either have a constant weekend or a constant week of work, depending on your situation.
In either case, Friday loses a lot of its excitement.
It is usually pizza night at our house. Tonight was no exception.
Friend Beth joined us so there were 2 Beths in the house! But only one could talk to us and it was great just to sit and chat and hopefully unwind a bit. Those things do make Friday nights special.
Saw a friend at the store and asked how her daughter was doing, but I used the friend's name instead of the daughter's.
It was like: So how is Mary doing? "Mary is doing ok"
At that point I recognized she was talking about herself in third person form. She had already told me she was fine, but I asked again, thinking her daughter was Mary and she was .... what?
Jane! Her daughter is Jane.
So I apologized and asked how Jane was doing.
Turns out, she is doing ok too.
And I hope all of you are doing ok too. Even better.
Peace and Love
