slow boats

 I put Jackie's jewelry on a slow boat to China

    I can  tell you exactly what will happen.

    The product will not get there, we will not get a refund, and we are out some dough.

    What frustrates me is having  to send the crap back to China when it was shipped from Elk Grove Village, just about 90 miles away.  I should have just driven there and yelled nasty things.

    But, it is done.

    I had to fill out a customs form. 

    I botched the first one because I put the total of the items instead of listing each item separately.

    I botched the second one by writing the wrong numbers in the wrong spaces.

    Form 3?

    Finally, on form 4, I got all the information in the right spots.

    I am in a funk.

    We have a bowl of trick or treat candy left and I have only had 2 pieces!  2!  I did eat a full size candy bar at Emily's, but I just am not being called by the candy.

    Each fall we make a trip to the apple orchard for apples and cider.  I have not gone this year, at all.

    Julia did bring some apples and cider, and we appreciated that, but I have no desire to go myself.

    One positive thing I did:  Key fob on the van had a low battery.  I watched a YouTube video and changed it myself, thus avoiding a high charge from the dealership. It was fairly easy!  I have 2 key fobs, and I replaced both batteries.  I figure it is only a matter of time before the other one is low.

    And that is my life.
